We have a system with 250-260 producers and Spring-based application with 40
consumers processing the messages. We are seeing a large backlog of message
in the broker (60k at peak times) while there many consumer threads are
sitting idle and not receiving any messages for many seconds (8-12). While
the producers connections are live in period of 10 minutes we processed 572
messages. When we closed the firewall to block incoming connections in the
same period of time of 10 minutes we processed 3231 messages.

producer connections opened and then when we closed to firewall to block
incoming connections.Has anyone experienced a problem like this that can
