Read-Only Mode server

Hi all,

I have a questions related to the 'Read Only Mode', introduced in zookeeper
3.4.x.

1) Is this option considered safe to run in production at full scale? (If
not, are there plans to make it safe?)

2) Any plans to move it from a JVM System Property to an official
configuration possible to define via the "zoo.conf"?

3) Will the java-client automatically check whether quorum, and thereby
write-mode, exists with other zookeeper-servers? Or do you have to write
that yourself (looks like the curator clients does probably stick with that
anyway.)
