logging 404's

Hi,

We're trying to come up with a way to let JMeter request some pages,
while retrieving embedded content and log each request that returns a
'http 404 not found' code. So far, all I've come up with is logging a
request if the main sample returns 404, but not when retrieving embedded
content, such as a missing image file.

My question is, is what I want even possible? I have no idea if
beanshell can do what I want, since I don't really understand it :)
