Let me start off by apologising for taking this route to contact you all, I am sure the last thing you want is a recruiter spamming you on your forum.
On the plus side, with Kafka being so niche hopefully this email will be well received as I will be able to put someone into work for the next 6 months ☺
My client, one of the leading technology houses in Belgium who work on some of the most innovative products out there – many technologies and products that are in prototype stages or years away from public release - has the following requirement and can wait until Jan for someone to start, although the sooner you can start the better:
Experience:
▪ Experience with some of the following messaging and queuing technologies: Kafka, ActiveMQ, AMQP, MQTT, DDS, 0MQ...
▪ Cloud infrastructure: Amazon AWS, SoftLayer, Rackspace, OpenStack...
▪ Parallel and distributed computing
▪ Publish/Subscribe communication pattern and technologies
▪ Peer to peer overlays (DHT, gossip, chord, pastry...)
▪ NoSQL databases (Cassandra...), distributed file systems (HDFS...)
▪ Cloud technologies: Zookeeper, Chef, Netflix open source
▪ Programming languages: Java, C++, Scala, C
▪ Performance and memory tuning and optimization on Linux
▪ High availability, load balancing and fault tolerance
