Jquery Datatable Questions

I have been reading this forum regularly, but now have questions about the Jquery Datatable (sample below)...
How do I set css styles on column cells?
For instance how do I set the width of cells or change background colors of entire cells?

Secondly, I want to be able to mouse over a cell or header and have a small hover box appear with some data. How is that possible?

Third, where is the documentation on what I can define as 'options'. The JSON object options, where can I see the possible settings for it?
